Child Watch services will serve families in need of care while attending appointments related to the health and welfare of the family, and/or programs/services offered.
Clothing Closet Program allows families in need with access to clean clothing. Clothing Closet Program will partner with local agencies and schools to identify youth and families in need of clothing.
The Meals Program serves eligible children, families, and the elderly population. HBD will deliver meals to participating family homes, homeless shelters, elderly homes, and after-care programs. Meals will be available for pickup. HBD will partner with local food agencies to support the Meals Program. Additionally, HBD will provide free summer meals to all children free of charge
HBD's Learning Resource Center (LRC), staffing and resources will be available to assist with technical support using computer programs, formatting papers, email attachments, employment connections, youth internship connections, college readiness and to facilitate a college fair. The LRC will provide resources to support life skills, financial literacy, and basic and advance computer classes.
The Bridge Programs connects youth, families, and individuals to resources and ensures clients maintain self-sufficiency through community partnership connections. In partnership with many organizations, our Bridge Program clients benefit from case management, counseling, life coaching classes, support groups, plus more.
HBD's Youth Mentorship Program is focused on youth in the local community. Mentees will focus on building relationships, college preparedness, goal setting, financial literacy, finding their passion, and engaging, ensuring and elevating: Essential Strategies for Teens.
DIAMON Basketball Academy builds positive relationships by providing ongoing development and mentorship by teaching the game of basketball to young players.
HBD will partner with local organizations that promote Health and Wellness Programs. DRC’s Health and Wellness Program will develop people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors to prevent and educate programs addressing problems such as drug and alcohol use, health, fitness, self-esteem enhancement, healthy habits emphasizing good nutrition, regular physical activity, and improved overall well-being
HBD is raising funds to open a thrift store with basic essentials at no cost to those who need a helping hand. Items will include furniture, clothing, shoes, kitchenware, bathroom essentials, bedding and more. Donations and sponsors are welcome!
